One of the newest races to embrace rule by the Dominion, the Breen are a race deeply ensconced in shadow and mystery. What is known of them comes largely from legend and rumor as they allow little accurate information regarding their species to escape into general knowledge. Their homeworld is believed to be inhospitably frigid necessitating the use of environmental suits when the Breen are in warmer environments. No Breen is known to have been seen outside one of these suits. The Breen proved their value to the Dominion by bringing to the union a weapon capable of disrupting the shields of Federation and Romulan ships. During their short tenure as members of the Dominion the Breen have proven themselves loyal and worthy allies.
