Klingons talk alliance with Dominion, Breen say

Breen System-The Breen race has shrouded itself in mystery for years, built up layer upon layer of secrecy behind which their civilization has hidden, secrecy which has cloaked their society as their masks have cloaked their appearances, protective and also instilling a single, keen note of fear in their enemies. The Federation may have been shocked to learn of the Breen's alliance with the Dominion, but it has been many years since the Federation counted the Breen among their allies. Quick to fear and ultimately shun anything which they cannot rapidly encompass with their petty intellect, the small minds of the Federation Council long ago relegated the system of the Breen homeworld to the status of backwater and proceeded to forget about its existence and its people.
.......That's why it must have come as such a shock when Federation operatives reported to their superiors that the Breen had elected to join the Dominion. Even as Federation troops swarmed through the systems of what remains of the Cardassian Empire, the Breen System remained untrammeled, forgotten and ignored. But it is here that we of Dateline Dominion believe we may find our first clues to what has become of the Dominion presence in the Alpha Quadrant. Unlike Cardassia, currently inundated with Federation ne'er-do-wells working for the "restoration" of Cardassia along proper Federation lines, shunning all those who might encourage the Cardassian people to return to the fold of the Dominion, the Breen System is open and welcoming to all of the few visitors which it receives.
.......Federation news sources have suggested that the Breen military leaders, exonerated of war crimes charges brought against them, have returned defeatedly home. However, inquiries directed to the Breen military regarding the veracity of these reports were politely deflected and requests for an audience with the leaders of this mighty Alpha Quadrant race were denied. After much covert surveillance, we have been forced to conclude that this can mean only that the leaders of the Breen military did not, in fact, return to their homeworld but are currently working with Dominion officials at some undisclosed location to reestablish a Dominion presence in the Alpha Quadrant.
.......Hints as to the location of the site of this new Dominion headquarters are scarce, as great care seems to have been taken to perpetuate the Federation's belief that the Dominion has withdrawn its designs on this region of the galaxy. However, in a Dateline Dominion exclusive, we were able to obtain information from sources within the Breen military establishment suggesting that Breen and Dominion officials may be working in conjunction with elements within the Klingon government to forge a new Klingon/Dominion alliance, and that talks are currently underway at the historical Khitomer site. The questionable nature of current Chancellor Martok's ascension and his lack of proper credentials for holding such a position , as well as his well known extremist pro-Federation sentiments, have left many within the waning Klingon Empire wary of policy set by this neophyte, and concerned by the Federation's growing voice in dictating internal Klingon policy. The confluence of these factors has resulted in an upsurgence of anti-Federation sentiment that may well mean that there is more than a little truth to reports of a proposed Dominion/Klingon alliance.
.......We came to the Breen System seeking some confirmation that the Dominion presence in the Alpha Quadrant has not been entirely decimated and came away with not only this but the possibility of a renewed strength for the Dominion in this region. The possibility of the entrance of the Klingon Empire into the Dominion brings us all hope that we may yet see order reign in the Alpha Quadrant.
